Dialogue (“Us”, “We”, or “Platform”) is committed towards respecting and protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard your information or personal data when you use Dialogue and log in to your account. By using Dialogue or logging in, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. To the extent that you are a minor (individual under the age of 18 years) under the applicable laws, please ensure you read this Policy in the guidance and presence of a Parent or Legal Guardian. We shall provide services to a minor only upon receiving such consent from a parent or legal guardian at admin@bookdialogues.com, particularly if account creation or login is required.
1. Information We Collect
When you use Dialogue, particularly when you create an account or log in, we collect certain information.
1.1 Information Provided During Login and Account Creation
Full Name and Email Address: We collect your full name and email address when you choose to log in using our designated authentication method -- Google Firebase. This information is used for identifying your account, managing your access to the service, personalizing your experience, and necessary service-related communication.
Information from Third-Party Providers: If you choose to log in via a third-party service (like Google through Firebase Authentication), we collect the name and email address provided to us by that service, in accordance with their terms and your privacy settings on that service.
1.2 Other Information We Collect
Device ID: A user's Device ID, used to access the app, undergoes a one-way hash before being stored on our backend servers. This information is irreversibly encrypted. The developers cannot access the original Device ID, and we will only use this information for technical or security purposes, or as required by law, unless we obtain consent from you for other uses. This hashed ID may be associated with your account for technical linkage or security validation.
User data including associated book content are stored on our backend systems and deleted after 180 days of inactivity.
You can request the deletion of your account and all associated data in the app itself by clicking on the User icon on the top right in Home screen and then selecting "Delete Account"
In the instance Dialogue retains your information beyond the timeline stated above, all your personal information and personal identifiers shall be anonymised to the extent you can no longer be identified by such anonymised information before retaining such information.
1.3 Automatically Collected Information
When you use Dialogue, we automatically collect certain information about your interactions, including but not limited to:
User actions performed within or on Dialogue (e.g., clicks on buttons, usage of features).
Usage metrics to improve the functionality and user experience of Dialogue.
This data helps us understand how the service is used and improve it for you. Automatically collected usage data may be associated with your user account to provide personalized features, history, and support, and to analyze aggregated usage trends.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Identify and authenticate users for account access and management.
Provide and improve Dialogue's features, operationality, and functionality, including personalizing your experience based on your usage patterns and account information.
Manage your user account, provide technical support, and respond to your inquiries.
Monitor app performance and analyze usage trends (both in aggregate and linked to accounts) to understand how the service is used and identify areas for improvement.
Communicate with you about your account, service updates, security alerts, and important information related to Dialogue.

Thank you for using Dialogue. These terms and conditions govern your use of Dialogue and your user account. By accessing or using Dialogue, or by creating a user account or logging in, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the app or create an account.
1. Purpose of Dialogue
Dialogue is designed to help users grasp book key details quickly and enhance their experience through AI-powered podcast and content summarization.
2. Intellectual Property Rights and Content
All rights, title, and interest in and to the Dialogue platform, the Dialogue software applications, and all associated audio, textual, visual, or other content made available through the Service ("Platform Content") are and shall remain the exclusive property of AI Global Solutions GmbH, operating under the brand Dialogue, and/or its licensors.
The Platform Content is protected under the Swiss Federal Act on Copyright and Related Rights (CopA), the Swiss Code of Obligations, relevant international treaties including the Berne Convention, and applicable copyright laws in jurisdictions where the Service is accessed. Any unauthorized reproduction, distribution, public communication, or other use of Platform Content outside the scope expressly granted herein is prohibited.
Subject to full compliance with these Terms, Dialogue grants the user a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service and Platform Content solely for personal, non-commercial use associated with the user's individual account. No ownership or other intellectual property rights are transferred to the user. Any sublicensing, commercial exploitation, or modification of the Platform Content is strictly prohibited unless expressly authorized in writing by Dialogue.
3. Nature of Platform Content
Dialogue produces original audio content in the form of reviews, critiques, and analytical commentary on non-fiction books. This content is created by human editors with the assistance of artificial intelligence technologies. Each piece represents independent editorial analysis, criticism, and educational discussion intended to inform users about published works.
In the creation of such commentary, Dialogue may reference, discuss, or quote limited portions of the underlying works to the extent necessary for the purposes of review, critique, analysis, and education. Such use is undertaken in accordance with:
Articles 25 and following of the Swiss Copyright Act (CopA), which provide statutory exceptions for quotation, review, criticism, and educational purposes;
The fair use doctrine under Section 107 of the U.S. Copyright Act, which permits limited use of copyrighted material for purposes including criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research;
Comparable exceptions and limitations under international copyright frameworks, including the Berne Convention's right of quotation.
4. Proportionality and Attribution
Any reference to or incorporation of third-party copyrighted material is limited to what is reasonably necessary and proportionate to achieve the legitimate purpose of commentary and critique. "Necessary and proportionate" means that:
Only the minimum amount of the original work required to illustrate, support, or contextualize the commentary is used;
The use does not serve as a reproduction or substitution for the original work;
The use is directly relevant to the critical or educational purpose of the content;
Appropriate acknowledgment of the source, author, and title is provided where feasible and legally required.
Dialogue does not reproduce entire copyrighted works, does not create unauthorized derivative works, and does not exercise or claim intellectual property rights belonging to the authors or rightsholders of the works under review.
5. User Responsibilities
Users may not:
Copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Platform Content except as expressly permitted by these Terms;
Remove or alter any copyright notices, attributions, or proprietary markings from Platform Content;
Use Platform Content for any commercial purpose without prior written authorization from Dialogue;
Circumvent any technological measures implemented to protect Platform Content.
Promote or publicize the platform as an e-commerce platform merely because of availability of purchase link.
6. Severability
If any provision of this section is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be severed, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect
7. Prohibited Activities
When using Dialogue or your user account, you agree not to:
Attempt to reverse engineer, tamper with, or exploit Dialogue's AI features for unintended purposes.
Claim Intellectual Property Rights over any work or content created or generated by the use of Dialogue.
Use the account or service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
Share your account credentials or allow others to use your account.
Use the services of Dialogue for any commercial purposes without authorization.
8. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Dialogue is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, except as required by applicable law. This includes, but is not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
While Dialogue strives to provide accurate, reliable, and functional content, users acknowledge that:
Platform Content represents editorial opinion, analysis, and commentary, which may be subjective in nature;
AI-assisted content generation, while supervised by human editors, may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions;
No guarantees are made regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of Platform Content for any particular purpose;
Users should consult original source materials for complete and authoritative information;
Dialogue makes no warranties regarding the completeness, accuracy, or suitability of Platform Content for any particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dialogue and its developers, officers, employees, affiliates, and licensors shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of the Service, Platform Content, or your account, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory upon which such claim is based, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or otherwise.
This limitation of liability does not apply to damages resulting from gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the governing law, including mandatory consumer protection laws.
9. Third-Party Services and Links
Dialogue may provide links to third-party retailers, including but not limited to Amazon, where users can purchase books referenced in Platform Content. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of such links before making any purchases. Dialogue shall not be liable for any damages, losses, or issues arising from faulty links, incorrect redirects, or transactions conducted through third-party platforms.
Any purchases made through third-party links are governed exclusively by the terms and conditions, privacy policies, and refund policies of the respective third-party service provider (e.g., Amazon). Dialogue has no control over and assumes no responsibility for third-party services, their content, policies, or practices.
10. Termination
Dialogue reserves the right to terminate or suspend your user account and access to Dialogue at its sole discretion, without notice, for violations of these Terms or any other reason, including but not limited to breach of the Acceptable Use Policy or any fraudulent or illegal activity.
11. Changes to the Terms
Dialogue reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of Dialogue or your account constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. As and when any modifications or changes are made to the terms the date of such changes will be reflected in the updated terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Zürich, Switzerland.

By using Dialogue, creating an account, or logging in, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.
Dialogue may offer certain features exclusively to users with active paid subscriptions.
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play store account at the confirmation of purchase.
The subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your account settings on the App Store or Play Store after purchase. Cancellations will take effect at the end of the current billing period.
Dialogue reserves the right to suspend, modify, or terminate subscriptions, including in cases of violation of these Terms, technical issues, or discontinuation of services.
All subscription payments are processed through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Dialogue is not responsible for payment processing issues, failed transactions, or billing disputes. For payment-related issues, please contact Apple or Google support directly.
Refund eligibility is determined by the applicable app store's refund policy. Dialogue does not process refunds directly.
If you experience technical issues accessing subscription features after successful payment, please contact us at admin@bookdialogues.com and we will work to resolve the issue promptly.
Subscription prices and available features may change at any time. Changes will be communicated in advance, and you may cancel before renewal if you do not accept the new terms.
Acknowledgement: Dialogue and you acknowledge that this Agreement is concluded between Dialogue and you only, and not with Apple, and Dialogue, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and the content thereof.
Scope of License: The license granted to you for the App is limited to a non-transferable license to use the App on any Apple-branded Products that you own or control and as permitted by the Usage Rules set forth in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
Maintenance and Support: Dialogue is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services with respect to the App. Dialogue and you acknowledge that Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the App.
Warranty: Dialogue is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the App to you; and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App.
Product Claims: Dialogue and you acknowledge that Dialogue, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims of yours or any third party relating to the App or your possession and/or use of the App, including, but not limited to: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
Intellectual Property Rights: Dialogue and you acknowledge that, in the event of any third party claim that the App or your possession and use of that App infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights, Dialogue, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of any such intellectual property infringement claim.
Legal Compliance: You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Third Party Terms of Agreement: You must comply with applicable third party terms of agreement when using the App (e.g., you must not be in violation of your wireless data service agreement when using the App).
Third Party Beneficiary: Dialogue and you acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple’s subsidiaries, are third party beneficiaries of this Agreement, and that, upon your acceptance of the terms and conditions of this Agreement, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce this Agreement against you as a third party beneficiary thereof.
